Being a Hilton Grand Vacations Club Member means many things: thrilling vacation options each year, exclusive access to ClubPartner Perks like our new Wine Partner, automatic enrollment in the award-winning Hilton HHonors® program, and access to more than 4,600 Hilton hotels and resorts around the world.
That expansive travel access that your Club Membership offers just grew even stronger. In January, Hilton Worldwide crossed a big milestone. The company expanded its presence to 100 countries and territories with Hilton Hotels & Resorts’ first hotel in the African country of Chad.
The new Hilton N’Djamena, located in Chad’s upscale Sabangalic district, is Hilton’s 37th hotel in Africa. The 194-room property is surrounded by lush gardens and offers stunning panoramic views of the beautiful Chari River.
“Entering our 100th country is a testament to the strength of our brands, which continue to position Hilton Worldwide as the fastest-growing global hospitality company with a record pipeline of rooms,” said Christopher J. Nassetta, president and CEO of Hilton Worldwide, in a release. “We strive to be the first choice for our owners by driving the best returns, for our guests by providing a compelling brand for any travel need, and for our Team Members by creating a great place to work.”
Hilton is growing rapidly. In 2015, Hilton began developing more than 100,000 rooms, adding to the industry-leading pipeline of 275,000 rooms globally. It opened nearly one hotel per day and, as a result, created an estimated 20,000+ new hotel jobs.
Club Members can use their membership to stay at properties in the Hilton Worldwide portfolio. In 2016, use ClubPoints to book special rates at hotels in London, Japan, Thailand and other countries. Or use HHonors points to take advantage of the abundant travel options in countries all across the globe.
