We recently had the opportunity to sit down with Hendrik Kouwenhoven, Senior Director of Marketing and Customer Relations with Hilton Grand Vacations, and ask him some of Club Members’ frequently asked questions about Hilton Club. Here’s what we learned:
Club Traveler (CT): This is an exciting time for Hilton Club! Tell us all about it.
Hendrik Kouwenhoven (HK): Yes, it is a truly outstanding time in the evolution and growth of Hilton Club! So, let me begin with some clarity around this brand within our Hilton Grand Vacations product offerings. First, Hilton Club is a Hilton Grand Vacations brand anchored in providing sophisticated experiences to Members in exciting urban destinations. With the introduction and success of West 57th Street by Hilton Club in New York City, Hilton Club evolved into Hilton Grand Vacations’ urban, lifestyle offering.
CT: What makes Hilton Club special?
HK: Hilton Club properties are located in urban destinations and appeal to the traveler who is looking for an immersion into life within some of the most desirable cities. Surrounded by world-class dining and entertainment, these properties serve as an urban retreat from which Members can explore all each city has to offer. Hilton Club Owners also receive several unique benefits featuring exclusive reservation windows; access to on-property Owners’ Lounges; enhanced HHonors points conversions; and membership in Elevated Rewards, a Members-only experience rewards program, just to name a few.
CT: What is planned for Hilton Club?
HK: We currently have a number of projects underway, which I think many Club Members will be excited about. The Residences by Hilton Club is a brand-new offering currently under development in New York City. Located on the upper floors of the New York Hilton Midtown, these elegant studio and one-bedroom units feature classical design inspired by the glamorous past of the hotel’s iconic penthouses, which once served as residences for John D. Rockefeller, John Lennon, and Conrad Hilton, among others. Availability is expected in 2018.
We’re also pleased to announce The District by Hilton Club, the first Club offering in Washington, D.C., located in the heart of the city between Dupont Circle and Georgetown. Embedded in the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Georgetown, the newly renovated one- and two-bedroom units deliver sophisticated surroundings with access to all the city has to offer. Availability is expected starting June 2016.
CT: Can Hilton Grand Vacations Club Members use their Points to stay at Hilton Club properties?
HK: Yes, Hilton Grand Vacations Club Members may use their Points to make reservations at the following Hilton Club properties: West 57th Street by Hilton Club, The District by Hilton Club, and The Residences by Hilton Club.
CT: Can you offer any tips to Club Members who wish to make a reservation at Hilton Club properties?
HK: Book early! Owner usage is high at Hilton Club properties, so check for availability as soon as the booking window for Hilton Grand Vacations Club Members opens, usually 44 days prior to check-out.
CT: Tell us more about the Elevated Rewards program for Club Members.
HK: Elevated Rewards is an exclusive membership program for Hilton Club Owners that offers privileges such as discounts and exclusive access to multiple restaurant, retail, and cultural institutions in Hilton Club destination markets. Partners in New York include the Museum of Modern Art, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, and New York Philharmonic, among others. For all Hilton Grand Vacations Club Members visiting New York or Washington, D.C., stop by a Hilton Club property or any Hilton Club desk located at select Hilton hotels throughout New York and D.C. for a complimentary Elevated Rewards membership card to use during your stay.
