Diary of a Club Traveler: Spring in Tuscany

This spring, Club Traveler Johnny Duckworth and his wife spent 11 days in Italy, where they stayed at Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Borgo Alle Vigne in Tuscany. Johnny was kind enough to share photos and reflections from his fabulous vacation.

So, take a break with us and journey to Italy in our latest edition of Diary of a Club Traveler. And, if you’re interested in taking part in a future Diary of a Club Traveler, email us at [email protected]. We’re excited to share in the memories with you!

Pisa, Siena and More

“Pisa is a beautiful city, and the shopping in Firenze is superb, [especially the] leather goods at low prices. Siena is not to be missed while you are there.

[And, Tuscany] is filled with walled cities that were built in the 11th and 12th centuries. Each one offers a different cuisine with ingredients from the local area. The people are warm, friendly and willing to help you.”

Impressions of Borgo Alle Vigne

“Borgo Alle Vigne was fabulous."

"The views were superb and the cooking classes were fun and they produced some remarkable food.”

Club Travelers embraced the culinary scene in Tuscany by taking a cooking class at Borgo Alle Vigne! Did you know that in addition to cooking classes, Borgo Alle Vigne can arrange for cycle tours, guided walks, hilltop village tours and more? Photo submitted by Johnny Duckworth.

“The staff at Borgo Alle Vigne, led by Elizabeth, is nothing short of excellent. They know all the ‘tricks,’ from where to park at the train station to when is the best time to go to certain locations. Their advice for local restaurants is to be valued. The facilities are excellent by any standard—recommend visiting if it is your first time in Europe and after many trips.

Overall, [we had] a great trip.”

Thank you to the Duckworths for giving us this look into your vacation!
