Take Me Out to a Ball Game! Americans’ favorite pastime is in season, and luckily for Club Travelers and fans, multiple resorts are located in cities that have teams to cheer for.
If you find yourself in the Magic City this summer, watch the Miami Marlins step up to the plate. Drive just 20 minutes west from Hilton Grand Vacations Club at McAlpin - Ocean Plaza, and you’ll reach Marlins Park. Although the Marlins have never won a division title, they have won two World Series Championships as a wild-card team.
In the nation’s capital, Club Members staying at The District by Hilton Club can rally the Washington Nationals at Nationals Park. Travelers can drive or take a cab from the resort to reach the park in less than 20 minutes. Don’t feel like driving? Take the Metro to the Navy Yard stop, which lets riders off right across from the park. Go early to experience the Bullpen at Half Street Fairgrounds right in front of the stadium. Entry to the Bullpen is free, and visitors can purchase food and beverages, as well as play games and enjoy live entertainment before the game.
Further north on the East Coast in New York City, Club Members staying at West 57th Street by Hilton Club or The Hilton Club - New York can simply walk three minutes west to 7th Avenue and enter the subway. Take the D five stops north and you’ll reach Yankee Stadium, home of the New York Yankees. Watch as players from the team with more than a century of history — and 27 World Series wins — line the field in their famous pinstripe uniforms.
Head further west to see the Colorado Rockies. Club Members at Valdoro Mountain Lodge in Breckenridge can drive to downtown Denver’s Coors Field in less than an hour and a half. Go for a game, or make a day trip out of it! Tip: Sit in right field for amazing views of the Rocky Mountains.
On the West Coast, support the San Diego Padres as they play ball in sunny Petco Park. The open-air stadium is near downtown and less than a 40-minute drive from Carlsbad Seapointe Resort, Grand Pacific Palisades Resort and Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Marbrisa.
