To celebrate 25 years of unforgettable vacation experiences, Hilton Grand Vacations Club hosted a yearlong sweepstakes for Club Members throughout 2018. Each month, two Members were randomly selected and awarded 2,500 Bonus Points to put toward creating more vacation memories with HGV. eClub Traveler spoke with three of the lucky winners about the exciting journeys they’ll take to put those extra Points to use.
Club Member Curtis K. of California took home the 2,500-point prize in November. Instead of going to one of his Home Resorts at Hilton Grand Vacations Club on the Boulevard in Las Vegas or Hilton Grand Vacations Club at SeaWorld in Orlando, he plans to switch things up. Curtis and his wife are looking to stay at Club Donatello, a four-star boutique resort in San Francisco.
The resort is in the heart of Union Square, a famous hub for shopping, dining and entertainment—meaning visitors don’t have to stray too far to have a good time. But guests can easily hitch a ride on a classic cable car and explore other popular areas of the city, such as Fisherman’s Wharf or Chinatown.
Jeffrey B. of New Jersey, a Member since 2009, was one of the sweepstakes winners in March. Jeffrey already has some exciting trips with HGV under his belt: When he lived in Arizona, he took advantage of his home site in Las Vegas, Hilton Grand Vacations Club on the Boulevard, and took a trip to California for a stay in Carlsbad Seapointe Resort. Now that he’s living on the East Coast, he’s eyeing either Myrtle Beach or Florida for his next vacation.
Should he choose to stay at Ocean 22 by Hilton Grand Vacations Club, he’ll be right on the sands of Myrtle Beach. The resort offers suites with ocean views, an outdoor pool, a fitness center, dining options and complimentary admission to Wild Water & Wheels water park. And if guests take a short ride to the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, they’ll be surrounded by the countless restaurants, bars, rides and live shows this low-country town offers.
Lucky for Jeffrey, he has options in Myrtle Beach. In addition to Ocean 22, he can stay in the center of the Grand Strand at Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Anderson Ocean Club or at the soon-to-be-opened Ocean Enclave by Hilton Grand Vacations Club—HGV’s third resort in Myrtle Beach and fifth in South Carolina.
Daniel B. of California, the other winner in November, and his family are looking to revisit their Home Resort, Hilton Grand Vacations Club at MarBrisa in Carlsbad, California. “We have been Owners since October of 2016 and went for the first time this past summer. We enjoyed the resort so much, we want to go back and bring family to accompany us,” he says.
The resort overlooks coastal Carlsbad, or the “Village by the Sea.” It offers luxury suites with private balconies, a full-service spa and a swimming pool, and it’s minutes away from a championship golf course. MarBrisa’s location is also ideal for families: Guests have exclusive access with a private entrance to LEGOLAND California Resort in Carlsbad and are a short drive from the San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld and the San Diego Zoo Safari Park.
