2019: Year-in-Review and Highlights

As we look back over the past 12 months, it’s been a busy and exciting year for Club Members — Hilton Grand Vacations expanded its digital capabilities, launched new Member education opportunities and offered unique new adventures. Here are some of the biggest highlights from 2019.

Booking South Florida Properties Online

In April, all of HGV’s properties on South Florida’s Gulf Coast became available for online booking, including such destinations as Sanibel Cottages Resort and The Charter Club of Marco Beach. Members can now skip the wait times on the phone and book directly through the Club website or the HGV mobile app. For the full list of resorts in the region, click here.

Member Education Webinars

HGV launched a series of Member education webinars that provide a wealth of information on all aspects of your membership. The 60-minute live sessions were held in April, July and October. You can find videos and handbooks of the most recent webinars on the Club website.

AutoSave

The new feature introduces another way to ensure your ClubPoints don’t expire. AutoSave automatically protects any remaining Points left at the end of the year and saves them into the next. In 2019, AutoSave enrollment was available during the first three months of the year and allowed Members to save their 2020 Points early at a reduced transaction fee. Mark your calendar today to enroll in AutoSave anytime from January 1 through March 31, 2020. Not only will you save time, you will save money on the reduced transaction fee too.

Digital Enhancements

The Club website and mobile app received a face-lift this year. HGV added new features for easier navigation and better functionality, resulting in an improved Member experience. New features include:

  • Revamped Member Dashboard for mobile and online.
  • Enhanced search bar for easier navigation.
  • New destinations and resort pages with added resources, including more information on things to do in the area, details on resorts and reviews of each property.

Members with Elite status had the opportunity to travel on the Napa Valley Wine Train with fellow Club Members for an elegant ride through California’s wine country. The six-hour itinerary included tours of the Domaine Chandon, HALL Wines and Young Inglewood wineries, along with an onboard four-course meal and a welcome glass of sparkling wine.

New Resort Openings

Members were also treated to several brand-new resorts this year.

  • Hilton Grand Vacations at The Crane: HGV’s first Caribbean property opened in beautiful Saint Philip, Barbados in April 2019. The resort places Members on a cliffside atop 40 acres of beachfront at Crane Beach and features a cliff-top pool complex, a spa, fitness facilities, and seven restaurant and bar options.
  • Ocean Enclave by Hilton Grand Vacations Club: The 27-story oceanfront resort in Myrtle Beach opened its doors in May 2019. Ocean Enclave sits right on the Grand Strand and features 330 resort- and ocean-view suites with private balconies.
  • Ocean Oak Resort by Hilton Grand Vacations Club: The oceanfront resort in Hilton Head, South Carolina completed its second development phase in April 2019. This phase included the completion of 55 two-bedroom suites, a pool and Jacuzzi, two gas barbecue grills and courtyard space.
  • Hilton Grand Vacations Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile: HGV’s first resort in the Windy City opened in June 2019. The resort’s location between Navy Pier and the Magnificent Mile puts Members close to hundreds of stores and restaurants, as well as attractions such as Millennium Park, Grant Park and The Chicago Theatre.

What’s Next in 2020

This year has certainly been exciting, but the fun won’t stop when 2019 ends. Next year is poised to be a great one as well.
