Day 2: Sunday, June 13, 2027 | Fairbanks Tour, Chena River Sternwheeler and Free Time

Fairbanks Tour, Chena River Sternwheeler and Free Time Begin your day with a guided tour of Fairbanks, including a stop at the University of Alaska Museum of the North. Here, you’ll explore engaging exhibits that highlight Alaska’s natural beauty, Indigenous cultures and artistic achievements — and meet Blue Babe, the museum’s famed mummified bison.

Enjoy lunch on your own before boarding the old-fashioned sternwheeler for a cruise on the Chena River. Your journey includes a visit to Chena Village, where you’ll gain insight into the heritage and traditions of the early Athabascan people.

You’ll start your day by boarding the Wilderness Express for a stunning journey to Denali. Home to North America’s tallest mountain, Denali National Park stretches more than 100 miles and offers sweeping mountain views and opportunities to spot native wildlife. This scenic glass-domed rail journey showcases the park’s northernmost section, revealing vast tundra landscapes and winding waterways.

Arrive in Denali in the afternoon and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Additional excursions can be arranged for the afternoon. Options may include a guided hike in Denali National Park or a flightseeing adventure.

In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner with your host and fellow travelers.

Day 4: Tuesday, June 15, 2027 | Denali Tundra Wilderness Tour and Free Time

In the morning, drive with an expert guide along Denali's only road, taking in sweeping wilderness views while searching for Alaska’s famed “Big Five”: bears, moose, caribou, Dall sheep and gray wolves.

Depart on your next scenic rail journey to Talkeetna. Follow the Nenana River, glide along the eastern boundary of Denali National Park and travel through the lowest pass of the Alaska Range. Spend the morning at your leisure or opt for one of several add‑on excursions, such as ziplining or floating down the glacier waters of the Talkeetna River.

In the afternoon, board the Wilderness Express train for a scenic journey to Anchorage. This portion of the route is ideal for viewing Denali from the outdoor platform. Keep watch for moose as you travel through Palmer Hay Flats State Game Refuge, and enjoy stunning views of Mt. Foraker, Mt. Hunter and Mt. McKinley along the way.

The evening is at your leisure. Embrace the midnight sun and explore downtown Anchorage, known for its craft breweries, urban trails and diverse restaurants.

Later in the afternoon, you’ll take your last scenic rail journey. Travel along the Turnagain Arm and Chugach State Park to Seward. Each curve of the track reveals wildlife‑spotting opportunities and dramatic landscapes accessible only by train.

HOSTED TRIPS POINTS FOR TRAVEL: Reservations must be booked by October 9, 2026. Nonrefundable, nontransferable deposit of $1,500/£1,125 per person is due at the time of booking. Final payment due by January 29, 2027. Any combination of permitted points and cash or credit card is an applicable form of payment towards a Hosted Trip vacation.
