Welcome to Milan. In the evening, meet your HGV host and fellow travelers for a welcome dinner, offering the perfect opportunity to unwind and connect before the journey begins.

Day 2: Saturday, September 11, 2027 | Milan Tour, Parmesan Cheese Tasting and Pasta Making Class

Known for its modern flair, Milan — one of the world’s fashion and design capitals — is also a cultural hub with a rich history. In the morning, enjoy a guided walking tour of the city with stops at Sforzesco Castle, the Galleria, La Scala opera house and the Duomo. Then, enjoy free time to explore Milan at your own pace.

Later, travel to the village of Busseto, birthplace of renowned Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi. Stroll through Piazza Verdi before visiting the charming Giuseppe Verdi Theater, located within the Rocca Pallavicino. The theater still stages performances today, while the castle serves as Busseto’s municipal headquarters. Following your visit, continue to Parma for a tasting of authentic Parmigiano–Reggiano cheese.

In the evening, gather with your host and fellow travelers for a traditional Italian dinner in the countryside, where you’ll also learn how to make your own pasta.

Day 3: Sunday, September 12, 2027 | Parma Tour, Modena, Ferrari Museum and Castle of Montechiarugolo

Italy Parma Cathedral Baptistery

Designated as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy and a cultural hub for art and music, Parma is a small yet vibrant city with much to explore. Begin your day with a guided sightseeing tour highlighting the stunning Parma Cathedral, followed by free time to explore the cathedral, bell tower and baptistry at your own pace.

Next, journey to Modena, the birthplace of Enzo Ferrari and world’renowned for its production of Leonardi Balsamic Vinegar. Discover the history behind this artisanal product, produced from grapes grown on the surrounding hills, and enjoy a tasting. Then visit the Ferrari Museum in Maranello to immerse yourself in the evolution of the Ferrari brand through rare models, prototypes and Formula 1® icons.

Visit the Castle of Montechiarugolo and admire its rich frescoes, elegant Italian garden and impressive defensive walls.

Journey into the Tuscan region of Italy and explore the charming town of Lucca. This historic fortress city, surrounded by ancient walls, is home to Roman ruins and medieval towers.

Begin your visit with a guided walk through the historic center, then enjoy free time to explore at your leisure. Wander through Piazza dell’Anfiteatro, climb the bell tower of the Lucca Cathedral or simply soak in the relaxed Tuscan atmosphere.

Day 5: Tuesday, September 14, 2027 | Cinque Terre Scenic Boat Ride and Free Time

In the morning, travel to La Spezia and, weather permitting, take in sweeping views along a scenic ridge overlooking the cliffside villages of the Cinque Terre coast. Your scenic boat takes you to Monterosso, one of the five villages that make up the Cinque Terre region. Enjoy free time to explore before boarding a train for a picturesque ride through the region as you continue to Genoa.

Set between the Ligurian Sea and the Apennine Mountains, Genoa is an ancient city whose roots stretch back to pre–Roman times. It boasts Europe’s largest medieval historic center, lined with noble palaces and century–old shops. Food enthusiasts will want to sample the city’s iconic Pesto Genovese.

Your Pick Your Experience excursion lets you choose how to discover the city:

Option 1: Visit the Galata Maritime Museum. Your local guide will provide an introduction before giving you free time to explore its five levels and 31 galleries showcasing centuries of maritime history.

Option 2: Watch a local chef demonstrate how traditional Genoa pesto is prepared, then enjoy a tasting of the signature sauce along with an aperitif.

HOSTED TRIPS POINTS FOR TRAVEL: Reservations must be booked by March 26, 2027. A nonrefundable, nontransferable deposit of $500/£375 per person is due at the time of booking. Final payment is due by June 4, 2027. Any combination of permitted points and cash or credit card is an applicable form of payment towards a Hosted Trip vacation. Point values applied under this benefit are subject to change and may vary based on tier level. All trips are subject to availability and will be conducted in English. All participants are required to sign the General Activity Release and Indemnification Agreement acknowledgement and to complete the Globus Guest Acknowledgement online process. Price is per person, based on double occupancy, land tour only, for the tour dates outlined above. Hosted Trip package includes all Globus inclusions plus: select meals; one ticket per paying passenger for included excursions noted in the itinerary which may require an extra waiver to participate and have other restrictions/qualifications based on height, age and weight; on-tour motorcoach transportation; gratuities for the Globus tour director, tour guides and drivers; applicable taxes; and airport transfers. Milan arrival transfers are included on the tour start date of September 10, 2027, and Milan departure transfers are included on the tour end date of September 19, 2027, provided that Guest arrival and departure flight or alternative travel details are received at least 90 days prior for domestic travelers and 120 days prior for international travelers before tour commencement. Not included: airfare to/from Milan; airline baggage fees; airport or departure taxes; travel insurance; car rental; gratuities for hotel housekeepers; alcohol, beverages and food outside the contracted Globus or shore excursion menu as presented at a dining venue; optional excursions; and all other items of a personal nature.

Tour activities in this region may be subject to favorable weather conditions. This tour requires navigating stairs to board the Cinque Terre train which may pose a challenge to Guests with physical limitations or reliant on mobility devices such as wheelchairs. When visiting religious landmarks, sacred sites or places of worship, it is important to dress modestly and respectfully; it is customary to cover shoulders, chest and knees; a head scarf may be required for women; hats or headbands may need to be removed. Alcoholic beverages are only available to travelers who are 18 years or older. Hotels may differ from those listed by the tour provider, but the accommodations selected are of equivalent standard. Your hotels will be available in your final documents approximately 2-3 weeks prior to departure. No compensation is provided for alternative hotel stays not listed in the tour provider’s documentation.

A passport valid for six months past the trip’s end date is required for all Guests. ETIAS will start operations in the last quarter of 2026. Travelers may be fined or detained for buying counterfeit goods, defacing historic monuments and using aerial drones. Entry requirements may vary for passport holders from other countries. Entry visas for other nationalities may be required. Visa requirements are subject to change at any time. International visitor entry requirements are subject to change at any time.
