Conveniently located near some of Manhattan’s iconic attractions like Central Park, the Empire State Building and Rockefeller Center, The Residences by Hilton Club will open its doors to Member stays beginning in June. From the top floors of New York Hilton Midtown, enjoy ace views of Central Park and the city’s skyline from elegant premier and penthouse one-bedrooms as well as premier, premier plus and penthouse studios. The property also boasts a fitness center, business center, restaurant and bar, on-site convenience store and private Owners’ lounge.
Club Traveler (CT): How are renovations coming along?
Laurie D. (LD): We are in full gear. Demolition is completed, and they are working on plumbing, cabling and framing out the units.
CT: What renovations are you most excited about and why?
LD: The private owners’ lounge will be spectacular with its high ceiling, size and décor. Also, the beautiful marble on the 45th and 46th floors and the amazing transformation for the NY Hilton Penthouse, which was converted into two floors with six units per floor.
CT: What have you heard from Club Members about what they are looking forward to most?
LD: The spectacular views and upgraded room features [including an in-room spa], and the opening. Members are eager to start the Residence experience and to meet other Owners in the Owners’ lounge.
CT: What distinguishes The Residences from the other two Hilton Club properties in New York?
LD: The Residences will be more of a boutique experience, with an upgraded product including high-end room finishes—like in-room spas, shower, tub, Toto Washlet toilets, electric blinds and wet bar as well as heated floors in the penthouse rooms. Its location on the very top on the New York Hilton Midtown is [also] very unique.
CT: What do you like best about the location of The Residences and why?
LD: The location couldn’t be better. You are steps away from everything New York has to offer. The best restaurants, Broadway, Central Park, world-class shopping and museums [like the Museum of Modern Art]—just to name a few.

You may have read in the January eClub Traveler that plans are underway for the fourth Waikoloa property: Ocean Tower by Hilton Grand Vacations Club—the first property to offer Members direct ocean views on Hawaii Island. Ocean Tower’s initial phase will feature one-, two- and three-bedroom suites—each with an ocean or resort view, full kitchen, balcony and spacious living and dining areas—as well as inviting studios with kitchenettes. The ninth property in Hawaii will also include an exclusive fitness center, a check-in and departure lounge, and access to Hilton Waikoloa Village’s amenities, from its swimming pools, tennis courts and tram to its boat rides, shops, restaurants and spa.
Rob G., general manager at Kings’ Land by Hilton Grand Vacations Club, updated Club Traveler with what he knows about the project so far.
CT: We understand that Ocean Tower is undergoing renovations to transform and build what will become Ocean Tower by Hilton Grand Vacations Club. How are these coming along?
Rob G. (RG): This is certainly much more than a renovations project. This is a complete transformation of what were very nice guest rooms into fully equipped HGV suites that will incorporate the level of sophistication, luxury and amenities our owners are accustomed to experiencing at the many resorts we offer. Anyone who has experienced the Ocean Tower at Hilton Waikoloa Village in the past will not recognize the spaces being converted from past visits. All of the project work currently in progress is very much on schedule.
CT: What do you like best about the location of Ocean Tower and why?
RG: The Ocean Tower, once fully converted to a Hilton Grand Vacations Club Resort, will be a sanctuary within an incredible resort complex. I like the fact that when you arrive to the Ocean Tower by either canal boat or monorail tram ride, there will be a beautiful new arrival and check-in experience exclusive to guests staying at HGV.
CT: As for the property itself, what’s your favorite feature or amenity?
RG: There are so many incredible amenities at Hilton Waikoloa Village, but to highlight a few, the Dolphin Quest experience is one of a kind, the ocean-fed lagoon in the center of the resort with a wide array of water sports is safe and fun for all ages, as well as the Kohala Spa, where guests can indulge and be pampered in true spa luxury.
CT: We heard that Ocean Tower will have some incredible views. Could you tell us more about what Members can expect?
RG: What sets the ocean views of this tower apart from others is the expansiveness of the view, which will be available in rooms that are in the Ocean View and Deluxe Ocean View categories. The contrast of the crystal-clear blue Pacific against the striking lavascape coastline only to be augmented by the emerald green fairways of the Waikoloa Beach golf course is one to remember.
There will also be resort and mountain view categories that will be a great experience.
CT: In your opinion, what makes Ocean Tower unique?
RG: All of our HGV Waikoloa Resort properties are unique and special. Ocean Tower will be a great addition to the portfolio for those who want the on-campus experience of Hilton Waikoloa Village.
