Hit an Ice Rink. Catch the Golden Knights on the ice of T-Mobile Arena, with games throughout January and February. The Las Vegas hockey team debuted with the NHL during the 2017–2018 season and made it to the Stanley Cup Final during its rookie year.
For those in town at the beginning of the new year, Boulevard Pool at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will remain an ice skating rink through early January. Enjoy gliding around the rink plus fire pits, s’mores and warm cocktails.
Ski, Board or Tube. Just an hour’s drive from the Strip, Lee Canyon offers Las Vegas’ winter visitors a treat. Ski, board, take lessons or join the après-ski.
Catch the Big Game. For February visitors itching to watch the biggest football match of the year, head to the Downtown Watch Zone at the Las Vegas Events Center. Enjoy the game in high definition on a 72-foot LED screen, plus food and drink specials.
Stay in the Heart of the City. The Residences by Hilton Club—our newest offering in the city that never sleeps—plants you right in the middle of the action. It’s the perfect place to stay, whether you prefer your winter delights outdoors (it’s just blocks from Central Park) or with a healthy dose of culture (the Museum of Modern Art is right across the street).
Warm Up to Jazz. The first Winter Jazzfest took place in Greenwich Village in 2005. Since then, the festival returns every January to entertain locals and tourists alike—growing from a one-day event on a single stage to a nearly weeklong celebration spanning more than a dozen stages. Better yet? One wristband grants you access to every venue.
Renew Your Vows in Times Square. A Valentine’s Day event, Love in Times Square will once again host a Vow Renewal Ceremony on February 14. Mark this special holiday by sharing what you love most about your significant other. Want to participate in Love in Times Square 2019? Fill out this form to receive event details when they are available.
Plan for a Spontaneous Race. For a dose of hilarity, mark your calendar for Idiotarod NYC. This annual, late-January race resembles the Alaskan dog sled race Iditarod, save for the dogs being replaced with people and the sled being swapped out for decorated shopping carts. Follow the event’s Twitter page to learn the location of the route—and get ready to watch a bunch of costumed participants “mush” their way through the city.
