Types of Points

Check out the different types of points that you can receive as part of your HGV membership. As a Hilton Grand Vacations Club Member, you can accumulate various types of Points.

Select a Point type on the tab menu below to learn more about each type.

ClubPoints

Expand to Learn More

Each year, Hilton Grand Vacations Club automatically deposits an allotment of ClubPoints into your account for use to reserve your various travel plans. The number of ClubPoints you receive varies based on your home resort, season, and unit type you own. If you own a biennial Home Week, you receive your annual allotment of ClubPoints every other year.

Your current year ClubPoints expire at the end of the year, so make sure you monitor your ClubPoint balance through your Members’ website.

Bonus Points

Expand to Learn More

From time to time, we offer our Members Bonus Points that are valid for two years. You have several options for using Bonus Points.

  • Make reservations during the Home Resort and Club Reservation windows at Hilton Grand Vacations and/or affiliated resorts.
  • Redeem them for ClubPartner Perks, such as cruises and other travel partner options.
  • Make RCI Exchange reservations.
  • Credit them toward any current maintenance fees you owe.
  • Convert them to Hilton Honors points.
  • Redeem them for other Member options such as shopping certificates.

Note: it can take up to 6 months to receive your bonus points.

There are also several things you can’t do with Bonus Points:

  • Make a reservation during the Home Week reservation window.
  • Combine them with ClubPoints to make a reservation at affiliated resorts.
  • Pay reservation or transaction fees.
  • Credit them toward future maintenance fees.
  • Transfer, assign, borrow, or save them into the next year’s account.

Borrowed Points

Expand to Learn More

In the current year, you can borrow any amount of your next year’s ClubPoint allotment to make any type of reservation except your Home Week reservation. This means if you borrow your following year’s ClubPoints, you are giving up your Home Week reservation rights for that year.

There is no fee to borrow points.

Saved Points

Expand to Learn More

If you have current year ClubPoints that you can’t use, you can save them into your following year’s account to make any type of reservation except for your Home Week or Hilton Honors reservations.

Refer to your current year’s Club Reference for the current fee associated with saving points. Remember that you get a discount for completing this transaction online rather than over the phone.

Hilton Honors

Expand to Learn More

As a Hilton Grand Vacation Member, you are automatically enrolled in the Hilton Honors program for as long as you remain an Owner. You can convert any of your ClubPoints or Bonus Points into Hilton Honors Points at the current conversion ratio and then use them to make reservations at any participating Hilton Portfolio hotel. You can convert ClubPoints or Bonus Points for immediate use as long as you have a Hilton Hotel Brand reservation. You can also convert both types of Points for use in the following year without a reservation. Be aware that once you convert your Points to Honors Points, you can’t convert them back.

Refer to your current year’s Club Rules for the current fee associated with converting Points. Remember that you get a discount for completing this transaction online rather than over the phone.
